Please note that it is mandatory for all TOeP trainees to attend the joint OOAC/TOeP symposium that will take place May 16 & 17/2019. Please reserve these dates in your calendar now.
While it is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that trainees take Biomaterials and Organ-on-a-Chip Engineering – JTC 1331H Fall 2018 if they haven’t previously taken this course.

This half-day workshop will expose students to best practices in scientific communication including presenting to both scientific and lay audiences,. Trainees will have the opportunity to explore techniques with a guided look at how best to structure and present their science in an engaging way

This workshop will give you insights into how to establish and expand a stable network, both in-person and online. Mandatory seminars presented by Dr Ljiljana Kundakovic, Founding President and CEO of East River Biosolutions Inc.

She will discuss: Different types of investors/financing- Pros and cons of each, Valuation, classes of ownership, stock etc., Negotiation of personal vs company ownership, Preparation of a term sheet for company financing, Preparation of an IP licensing sheet.

2) “ Start-up Foundation Essentials- Due Diligence and Budgeting.”
