CBS 2nd Entrepreneurship Clinic and Biomaterials Pitch Competition. May 2019

This year at the 2nd Entrepreneurship Clinic, biomaterials trainees will be given the opportunity to compete and present
their ideas before a panel of judges at CBS2019. Biomaterials trainees who have submitted their
elevator pitch will be questioned about their products, markets and business models. Applications
will be screened by ECAB members and a jury, before competing with each other at CBS2019 during
the Tutorial session.
The top three applicants will receive the following venture capitals:
1. First rank: $ 2500 CAD
2. Second rank: $ 1500 CAD
3. Third rank: $ 1000 CAD
To apply to the pitch competition, the applicant must:

 Be an Undergraduate, Graduate or Postdoctoal Fellows currently enrolled in a Canadian
Institution
 Present an idea or a concept at the pre-prototyping step or a project or service at the pre-
commercialization step. The product or service should not have already been commercialized.
 Submit before March 15th the applicant form
 Pitch the idea, present how to turn this idea into a product and how to commercialize it. It is
NOT an academic presentation.

Results regarding the applicant’s participation to the pitch competition will be announced on April
15th, 2019.
